GOVERNMENT TO BUILD THE FIRST SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL SOLELY FOR CREATIVE ARTS
The president of the republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has reaffirmed his commitment to the growth of the Creative Arts Industry after he hinted of the construction of the very first ever Creative arts Senior High School during the delivery of the 2020 state of nation’s address at Parliament today.
According to the President the school will be the first Senior High School whose major focus will be on the development and growth of the Creative arts industry.
“Govermement is also reaffirming his commitment to the growth of the industry by commencing the construction of the very first senior High School in Ghana dedicated solely to the development of the creative arts industry, I cut the sod for this construction in Kumasi again in December last year and we are determine to do more”
In the same month of December in 2019 the president inaugurated the National Film Authority and tasked them to ensure an economically self sustaining and culturally conscious film industry.
Concluding on the creative arts sector, the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo added that creative arts bill is finally been considered by cabinet which means that after its acceptance by parliament, a creative arts fund together with an agency responsible for the promotion of the industry will be established.
“The creative arts industry bill has been presented to cabinet for consideration and once passed by Parliament the act will establish a Creative fund and Agency to promote the industry.”
