We Won’t Allow Any Group Of Greedy Individuals To Destroy The NDC Chances Of Forming The Next Government – W/R NDC Communications Director

The National Democratic Congress’ Flagbearer hopeful, Dr Kwabena Duffour filed a suit against the party on May 9, following what he said are some discrepancies his team has identified in the party’s voters register to be used for the Presidential and Parliamentary Primaries.

The injunction, which seeks to restrain the Electoral Commission from supervising the conduct of the NDC Presidential and Parliamentary elections slated for May 13, has brought on some controversies as to whether the election will come off as scheduled.

Speaking to Beach Newsroom, the Western regional NDC Communications Director, Mr Richard Kirk-Mensah asserts that the party has gone through all the processes for the Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

According to him, for the reasons of the mischievous agenda and personal interests, this issue of discrepancies on the part of Dr Kwabena Duffour should have been scrapped from the beginning, as for the first time in history, the NDC has had the most transparent branch election across the various regions in the country.

He stated that the NDC is very much determined to become the next government and for that reason, the party will not allow any group of greedy individuals to destroy the party’s chances of forming the next government.

Mr Kirk- Mensah gave an assurance to the NDC members and supporters that all legal means are going to be utilized by the party’s legal team to address the court issue and make sure the May 13 elections come off.

Even though the court is to determine the case, Mr Kirk Mensah said, the party has been able to confirm a date of a hearing scheduled for tomorrow, May 12, 2023.

He expressed confidence that the election scheduled for Saturday, May 13 will see the light of the day.
