Beachfmonline.com is reliably informed that the President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has cancelled his visit to Dixcove this morning as part of his working visit to the Western Region which he started yesterday Tuesday July 23, 2019.
It is believed that the recent chieftaincy unrest between Lower and Upper Dixcove in the Ahanta West Municipality on Sunday July 21 in which Nana Kwesi Agyemang IX the paramount chief for Lower Dixcove was allegedly kidnapped together with some of his kings-men and were badly assaulted by their assailants might have resulted in the Presidents decision not to visit Dixcove today.
The President in his itinerary is expected to cut sod for the construction of a landing beach at Dixcove to facilitate smooth operation of fishing activities in the area to enhance their economic life since majority of the residents are fisher flocks.
Meanwhile the President will be going to Axim this morning to preform similar faction before moving to Bogoso and it environs as planned.
