Spice Fm’s News Editor Ties The Knot

Traditional Marriage being officiated by Rev Solomon Amede while Rev Daniel Dare looks on

Rev Seth Ameyaw Danquah, News Editor for Spice Fm, a local radio station in Takoradi and a subsidiary of the Focus 1 Media has married at a private ceremony in Takoradi in the Western Region.

The ceremony which took place on Saturday, January 16 was attended by families of the bride and groom, the Focus 1 Media family, close associates, chiefs, heads of institutions as well as some high profile members of the business community.

Rev Danquah who is also the Lead Producer for the “Adzekye Mu Nsem” morning show on Spice Fm tied the knot with his longtime sweetheart Gifty Botse who hails from Tsibu in the Volta Region.

The lucky woman who stole the versatile journalist’s heart is a midwife nurse with the Amasaman Government Hospital in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.

The duo had the marriage first registered at the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA) but for reasons best known to them annulled the registration to re-register at the Akuapem-Mampong Magistrate Court in the Akuapem South District where the traditional marriage was performed. 

The traditional marriage was followed with the private wedding a week later which was held at the Raybow International Hotel, an award winning hotel in Ghana amid the observance of all COVID-19 safety protocols.

Both have no children and have not married before.

The couple’s traditional marriage photos show how joyous they were while taking this step.

The bride wore an elegant wine and gold blended Kente flaunting her curves with mincing legs to her husband.

Seth, on the other hand, looked dapper in his white and wine designed three-in-one smock locally called “Agbada” that matched his wife’s stunning apparel.

The wedding ceremony was officiated by Rev Joe Gyamfi of the Liberty Church in Takoradi with other Officiating Ministers as Apostle Dr. Rockefeller Owusu Sarfo, General Overseer of the Christian Faith Mission International (CFMI);  Rev Entsua Mensah, Head Pastor, The King’s Temple International and Rev Anthony Aidoo, Reapers Charismatic Church among other pastors.

A short sermon was shared by Rev Mrs Bertha Anibea Gyamfi of the Liberty Church in Takoradi who admonished the couple and all couples to learn to tolerate each other.
