The Medical Director of the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital, Dr. Joseph Kojo Tambil, says the welfare of the staff is of utmost importance to the management.
According to him, the hospital, among other things, has a cafeteria, which offers staff meals at affordable rates, as well as a vehicle to convey them to and from work.
He made this statement at a send-off ceremony organized for staff who have retired from active service between 2021 and 2023.
The event was to honour and show gratitude to some 35 senior and junior retirees for their commitment, professionalism, and exceptional contributions towards achieving the hospital’s organizational goals throughout their years of service.
Dr. Kojo Tambil also says management looks forward to seeing their welfare fund upgraded into a credit union to support retirees and staff.
While calling for an insurance scheme for health workers, he convinced the staff to accept the 1 per cent deduction by the Ghana Health Service.
