Beach FM as part of providing its listeners with insurance education, today focused on Education and Child Plans.
Speaking to the Mid-Morning Lounge Show host Yao Mawutor Fianu, the Sales and Marketing Manager at SIC Life, Mr Solomon Odum Mensah, called on parents to get an education insurance plan for their children and further touched on the benefits of an insurance policy in case of casualties.
According to Mr Odum, even with an education policy for the child, parents can go ahead to do a savings package on that particular education policy, considering future uncertainties, in terms of fatalities or other casualties.
He also acknowledged that before enrolling in an insurance policy, the individual must be physically fit in order not to lapse on the insurance in case of eventualities from natural ailments.
Insurance on education according to Mr Odum is a long-term policy with a minimum of 5 years, considering the kind of education policy, a parent would want for their child.
He further went on to say that in the cases of payment defaults, the amount contributed so far by the insurer would be given to them.
He assured parents that with a minimum of 60 cedis, an education policy can be bought, with the benefit of receiving the sum assured in the case any incapacitation
