Video: Mampong NPP chair beaten to pulp by party members

A video of  New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman for Mampong in the Ashanti Region, Emmanuel Osei Tutu, being assaulted by some party members, has emerged.

The alleged incident took place on the 20th of January, 2017 during the party’s polling station elections.

The video captures the defenceless party chairman being severely battered by two party executives on the alleged orders of the MP for the area, Kwaku Ampratwum and constituency Secretary, Agyei Mallam.

“My brother, they really beat me very well,” Emmanuel Osei Tutu told Newsmen Thursday.

The party chairman is currently nursing serious head wounds as a result of the battery, which occurred in the full glare of the police as captured in the said video.

Some party members are unhappy with the fact that, no senior member of the party has visited the party chairman after the assault, virtually leaving him to his fate.

Meanwhile, the MP denied the allegations when Newsmen reached him for his side of the story.
