CEMENT DISTRIBUTORS PLEAD ON GHACEM FOR A COMMON PLAYING GROUND


The leadership of the Western Regional Branch of the National Association of Cement Distributors and Agents (NACED) have called on their members to rally behind a common goal in support of their fight against the numerous dispirits in the price of CEMENT products from the GHACEM.
In a brief handing over ceremony to usher in the new executives in Takoradi, the newly elected Chairman of NACED in the western region, Mr. Andy Mike Biney mentioned that there is so many unhealthy competition currently ongoing in the Cement distribution chain among NACED members which is creating a lot of division among CEMENT distributors, even across the entire country.




“Everybody in the in the distribution chain is doing what he deems fit and its not helping at all. So I want to build a united front among member groups in the country staring from Takoradi to push for the end this discrepancies, considering the welfare of the distributor and the parent company, GHACEM is concern so that together we can forge forward”.  He said.

According to Mr. Mike Biney, the method of selling CEMENT to distributors initiated by the manufacture (GHACEM) is really militating against their competitiveness in the market.
He noted that, as an association, they are going to continue from where their predecessors left off and prevail on the GHACEM to ensure a level playing ground for all CEMENT distributors in the country.
The newly elected executives of the National Association of Cement Distributors and Agents in the western region include, Nana Agyemang-Prempeh as vice chairman, Mr. Elliot Berketey Bortey as secretary, Mr. Michael Kofi Gyemfi as financial secretary, Mr. Francis Adokoh as treasure, Anthony Kweku Agyekum, Kojo Biney and William Yaw Twemu as Organiser’s while Mr. Kojo Effah and Lord Oti will work as Porters.
