Occupants of the old SECKO building at Ekuase within the Sekondi Municipality are pleading with city authorities to give them ample time to vacate the premises.
In an interview with Kwame Offie on Spice FM, the occupants complained of darkness since, the Electricity Company of Ghana, ECG has been cut off from the power supply.
This situation, they said is making life unbearable for them.
They said the 8-block building is occupied by about 300 people who do not have anywhere to lodge should they be forced out of the building.
According to them, the building has stood the test of time, saying the blocks are solid and firm thus they are safe.
They are imploring the President and other relevant stakeholders to intervene on their behalf as numerous plea to the city authorities is not yielding any fruit.
